Yuhed didn't know what to do. Quenum and Forest, the two surviving of the triplets, were in failing health. They had never been in very good health to begin with, but now they were worse. No one else in the village had expected them to live at all, not after Beth had died. But now they were 14. Yuhed couldn't let them die now, not after all this time.
The girls' mother had died shortly after their birth, due to her twin taking a dagger in the chest. After her death Yuhed, their older sister, had taken them in as her own, raising them from infants. But now they were so weak....
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Moveing quietly, so as not to disturb the girls, who where in their room laying down and talking together, she walked over to the door. She opened the door and peeked out.
"Hello, Yuhed. Can I come in to play with the girls?" Matt, the girls' playmate asked.
Matt was a regular human boy who had been taken in to live in the Mindom's village. Matt's parents were killed in a raid off the eastern coast of the Kindoledo Sea. A Mindom couple on a trip found the infant and, unable to have children of their own, took Matt in as their own.
"Matt, you know very well the girls can't play," Yuhed reminded him.
Matt blinked, then became defensive. "Well, not the way you're thinking. But there ARE other ways to play games. We can invent one to where they can play and stay layed down. All they'll have to do is talk to play it."
Yuhed's eyes bored down at Matt. "I suppose you can, but don't get them excited or anything. And they MUST stay in bed."
"Does laughing count, your magesty?" Matt said mockingly with a bow.
"Go now, or I'll change my mind." With that said, Matt scurried through the door and into the girls' room.

"I see something.....blue," Quenum said with a smile.
Forest and Matt looked around the room for something the color of blue. Forest's eyes lit up.
"Is it Benco, our unicorn?"
Quemun clapped, "Yep, now it's your turn....."
